Wedding photographer Higher Eggbear Farm

Higher Eggbeer Farm in devon was the setting for J&Es fab wedding. I loved photographing their wedding. Wedding photography is a very important job at a wedding. I got their very early and shot all day. My big goal with wedding photography is the document the wedding in the most beautiful way i can. Thats my challenge for the day, to make your day into a set of documentary wedding photographs with that twist of art.

I am often at a wedding really early , i like being part of the morning gang. I always put the hours in. I am often at a wedding for 12-13 hours at least. I arrive early, leave late and take my time and be patient waiting for those moments that define the day and the people that are there. This wedding was a pleasure to photograph and i have selected some photographs which are my favorite stand alone images from the collection as opposed to a collection of images that tell the story.

I often make wedding films as well and the difference between a wedding film and wedding photography is that with a film i have to think of how to present the story and tell the story of the day, With wedding photography i am kind of thinking of the images as one off images but also shooting an archive of the day so to include the story but also the inter linked moment and the stand alone portraits. Its more of an umbrella of the day as opposed to having to think, shoot and decide a story.

I love the variety of sometimes doing wedding photography and sometimes doing videos at weddings. I think it makes me think about the other one more when i have the variety of work and ideas on the day.

Anyway the pictures below are some of my favorite images of the wedding. There were so many pictures i gave the couple from this wedding that it was easy to pick out 50 favs from the day. It was the perfect place to work hard, keep my eye out, keep walking round, watch everything and be patient. At a wedding i normally shoot 7000 frames, edit down to about 700-800 but as i said here is my favorite 50 ish.
