On the Jubilee weekend I had two weddings to photograph. The first wedding I photographed was at the Tunnels in Ilfracombe, North Devon. I had been looking forward to photographing this wedding for ages. The couple Phil and Rachel were fantastic and the venue is certainly one of the most beautifully unique, certainly in this country possibly in Europe . A balcony looks over the seascape at Ilfracombe with the couple being able to dance, eat and have the ceremony outside. This is however until we had a spot of rain. It was so warm though literally no one minded it was really pleasent with only some of the speeches and the dancing having to happen inside.
Although a beautiful sunset would have presented its own images I quite enjoyed shooting in the low misty light of the evening. You always have to shoot with the strengths the day presents and certainly a low lit pastally look was something that was really strong on the day. I am constantly trying to shoot a collection of pictures for clients that are something totally different and unique. That is my job, clients book me because I do something different I hope.
I have included some of my favorite images of the day. There is still over 900 more images for Phil and Rachel but I have included some of my favorites and some that tell the story of the day (alot seem to be in black and white but plenty of colour as well as liking it a lot more recently
) . As always, like the more abstract pictures, I really try to capture the decisive moments and make the images look exciting and dynamic, presenting them in with an artistic eye, trying to put my own look but working with what the clients wants - hope I have here.
A big shout goes out to my 2nd photographer Barney Walters who shot some of the images below, a great job as always. Hope you like the pics and I wish the world to Phil and Rachel who are an amazing pair and their families who let me share their day, a really great bunch.

Wow, great location.
Great set of photographs and brilliant that you made the most of the setting despite the weather. Love some of those shots on the beach with the umbrella.
Great pictures!
How do we get to see the remaining pictures?
Regards,
Chani
The couple will have all the pictures when they return from their honeymoon. Shortly after they will then be placed online under our ‘recent wedding’ section. We hope you like them and that you appreciate holding on to see the rest until the couple have seen them all. Thank you. Barney.
